Now I'm going to talk to you about how to eat healthy at
Bonefish Grill.
Bonefish Grill actually has lots of different options that
enable you to eat healthy. For an appetizer, you want to start with the ahi
sashimi. Just try to avoid the fried calamari or the shrimp with the feta.
Those particular items have a lot of extra fat in them, and
it's the saturated kind of fat, so again, you want to stick with that sashimi,
the ahi tuna sashimi. It tends to be much lower, and the fat that it does have
is the very healthy unsaturated type of fat.
If you want to have a soup or a salad angle for the salad.
The soups tend to be very creamy, so a lot of extra saturated fat. Get one of
the the house salads instead, and angle for one of the vinaigrette type
dressings.
And then as far as your main entr?e, if you're getting fish
or other type of seafood try to get one of the grilled versions. Just avoid anything
fried. And if it's whole fish, if you can choose the petite size. Still a, it's
still a substantial amount of fish, but it's not the extra large versions.
If you're going to get meat and you want beef, try to get a sirloin and try to avoid filet mignon. It actually is gon, even if it's a slightly larger portion of sirloin it's going to have a lot less saturated fat, so your overall calories will be much lower.
And then as far as
your sides, if you can get the steamed vegetables, as opposed to something like
garlic mashers or potatoes au gratin. And then if you must have dessert, make
sure that you're eating with a couple of other people, and split one among the
group of people at the table, rather than having your own dessert.
If you eat a dessert by yourself it's actually going to be a
lot of extra calories and a lot of fat, so It's much healthier to split it with
other people. That way you just have a couple of bites and you might satisfy
that sweet tooth without actually getting too many calories.
And then as far as your beverage choices, if you can stick with
just water, tea, coffee, or some type of diet drink. Try to avoid any type of
regular soft drinks that have a lot of extra calories. And if you're going to have
an alcoholic beverage, whether it's wine or a mixed drink, stick with just one
drink with your dinner.
Again, more than one is going to be a lot of extra calories.
