Now I'm going to talk to you about how to eat pomegranates for health.
Pomegranates are very high in Vitamin C and a lot of other antioxidants
so they have a lot of health benefits. They are useful for lowing cholesterol.
They may have some benefit to lowering your risk for developing
cancer and being a fruit they're healthy for your overall health in a variety
of ways.
Again as far as the mineral content and the vitamin content,
it does have a lot of vitamin C and it does have a lot of antioxidants so it is
beneficial for your overall health.
The problem for a lot of people is they are slightly
difficult to handle. If you have ever gotten a fresh pomegranate, cut it open and
you'll find that it is full of a lot of little seeds so it can be a bit of a
challenge to actually consume a fresh pomegranate.
For that reason a lot of people choose to have their
pomegranate in juice form. It is perfectly fine to drink the pomegranate juice.
You can have an 8 ounce cup per day and that will give you what you need to get
the health benefit of it.
You really want to eat the fresh pomegranate. What you want to
do is cut it into quarters, get a large bowl, fill it up with a little bit of
water and then try to roll off all the seeds into that bowl. Avoid getting any
of the white matter in there that is not really edible, you just want the
little seeds.
Once you get it in your bowl you are going to drain off that
water and then you can basically eat the whole thing even the little seed in
the inside of the juicy part is actually edible so you can pop the whole thing
in your mouth and eat it like you would a blueberry for example.
But it is a bit of a process to get all those seeds rolled
off of the inside of the fresh pomegranate. Again fresh, whole pomegranate or
the juice, either one of those are healthy options, very good for your overall health
and can lower your risk for heart disease and cancer so that's just a few ways
to eat pomegranates for your health.
