Now I'm going to talk to you abouthow to eat healthy at Red
Robin.
The first thing you want to do to eat healthy at Red Robin
is avoid the sharable starters. The appetizers are all loaded with a lot of
saturated fat, a lot of extra calories so it is best to avoid those right off
the bat. As far as choosing your entree they do have some healthier options from
the burger menu.
The natural burger would be a good choice. It is just natural
beef. It doesn't have bacon or cheese or any other source of saturated fat to
it so this would be a good choice for a burger.
They can also choose the grilled turkey burger or the garden
burger, any of those options are going to have a lot less saturated fat and
some of the other gourmet type burgers that have a lot of extra bacon or lots
of different types of cheeses or lots of other creamy dressing type items added
to them so they do have some good healthy options for the burgers.
The other way to compliment your healthy choice of burgers
is to have something like a melon salad or a side salad. They do have these as options
so you can choose those in place of their bottomless steak fries. The
bottomless steak fries are generally best to avoid because they do have a lot
of extra fat and calories so again choose that side salad or choose the melon
instead.
Then for your drink you want to choose something that doesn't
have added sugar to it so an unsweetened tea, a diet soft drink, water, or if
you want to add sweetener, use a sugar substitute and then otherwise you do
want to avoid the desert menu unless you choose something that you can share
with other people.
If you are just splitting it and only enjoying a few bites then
that is perfectly fine. You just don't want to get your own individual desert
because that will add a lot of extra fat and caloriesto your meal. So those are
just a few basic tips for how to eat healthy at Red Robin.
